TasWater - Capital Delivery Office (CDO)

TasWater has established a Capital Delivery Office (CDO) with an alliance partner to manage the planning and delivery of a substantial capital works program. The CDO works as an extension of TasWater’s business and as a partnership approach, shares project risks and rewards, makes joint decisions and works as an integrated team.

The mission of the CDO is to build sustainable water and wastewater solutions for the Tasmanian community. In summary, the CDO will:

• Deliver asset management, planning, design and construction services;

• Deliver circa $150m of capital projects annually throughout Tasmania;

• Provide a flexible resourcing model to enable works to be ramped up or scaled down; and

• Comply with all relevant legislation and regulations.

TasWater selected an Alliance Contractor comprising the following parties as its preferred alliance partner for the CDO:

• UGL Engineering Pty Ltd

• CPB Contractors Pty Ltd

• WSP Australia Pty Ltd (Sub-Alliance Contractor)

TasWater and the Alliance Contractor have entered into a Program Alliance Agreement (PAA). The contract comprises an initial term of approximately four years and six months commencing in December 2018, with the option for TasWater to extend for an additional two years.
