Bridport Stage 1 Water Restrictions 2018-19

Using a trigger nozzle to hose plants will save water

TasWater has placed all properties and businesses in Bridport on Stage 1 Water Restrictions over summer.

This is necessary due to:

  • increased demand over summer
  • typically low seasonal flows in the Brid River.

Water restrictions apply to both residents and tourists, and TasWater is taking additional steps to ensure tourists are aware of water restrictions.

Stage 1 Water Restrictions encourage sensible water use and aim to reduce non-essential water use by approximately 20 per cent. Find out what this means for you here.
